MicroInvest Scheme deadline coming up
A new MicroInvest Scheme deadline is coming, this time for companies submitting tax return in September.
Claims for costs incurred in year 2024
Primary Deadline: 28th May 2025
Eligible Application will receive an Incentive Entitlement Certificate commencing from year of assessment: 2025.
The MicroInvest Scheme is a tax credit incentive provided by Malta Enterprise to support small businesses and self-employed individuals in Malta and Gozo. The scheme encourages business growth by offering a tax credit based on eligible investments in business innovation, expansion, and development. Maltese companies, start-ups, family businesses and self-employed can apply.
Eligible costs include:
- Certification costs
- Increase in wage costs
- Furbishing and refurbishing of business premises
- Investment costs
- Motor vehicles
The type of aid is given as tax credits.
